Here's something you won't see too often! This is a like new condition, never issued WW2 revolver that's in the original box with instructions! This is a Colt Commando that was manufactured in 1944.
As you may notice in the photos, this revolver is just a little messy. It is still covered in the original cosmoline storage grease and is even wrapped in the correct, original paper! I've cleaned off just enough to photograph a few key items. I don't want to clean the gun further, that's up to the new owner if he chooses to do so. From what I can tell, the finish is in excellent shape with just a few handling/storage marks along the sides of the barrel. There isn't any rust. It comes in the original kraft box with the original excellent condition instruction sheet (notice the war-time artwork on the cover) and the original bore brush. The box is numbered to the gun and I am sure that this is the original shipping container. Also included is a Colt factory letter which verifies this revolver was shipped to the Massachusetts State Guard Supply Depot on March 22, 1944.
