Description

Here's an early and rather awkward looking semi-automatic pistol. Manufactured by Rheinische Metallwaaren & Maschinenfabrik (later known as Rheinmetall), this a Dreyse Model 1907. Chambered for the 7.65mm Browning (aka .32 ACP), it is a striker-fired, blowback operated pistol with a single action trigger. All serial numbered parts are matching
Overall condition is good and most of the original finish remains but there is some light surface freckling scattered all around the pistol. The original finish still rates about 90% overall and there is little actual finish loss. The original hard rubber grips carry the RM&M monogram and are in very good condition with only light handling wear but no cracks or large chips. The mechanics appear to be in good working order and the bore rates about "fair" with strong visible rifling that is lightly pitted throughout. These were manufactured from 1907 until about 1918 and were fairly successful with about 250,000 having been manufactured. Some saw use with the German military during WWI and others with Weimar era police between the world wars.
